Terms
Last updated 27/08/2026
bnliu is a directory for artists working in house, techno and related music in London. These terms are the agreement between you and bnliu when you use it. By creating an account you accept them.
Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over.
- One account per person. Don't create an account for someone else without their permission.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. Sign-in links are sent to your email — keep access to it secure.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put on bnliu. By posting it, you give us permission to display it on the service and to show it in search results and previews. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm you have the right to post what you post — including any photograph you upload and any music you link to.
What isn't allowed
Don't use bnliu to:
- Impersonate anyone. Don't claim to be an artist, label, promoter or venue you aren't, or link to accounts you don't control.
- Harass, threaten or abuse people, or encourage others to.
- Post illegal content — including content that is terrorist in nature, child sexual abuse material, incitement to violence, or content that breaches someone's intellectual property.
- Post sexual content, or content that is gratuitously violent or graphic.
- Spam. No bulk promotional messaging, scraping, or automated account creation.
- Misrepresent what you do in order to appear in searches you're not relevant to.
- Attempt to break the service — probing for vulnerabilities, circumventing access controls, or overloading it.
Reporting and enforcement
Every profile has a report link. If you see something that breaks these terms, use it. You can also email hello@bnliu.xyz.
We review reports and may, depending on what we find:
- Remove or edit the content in question
- Suspend the account, hiding the profile from the directory
- Delete the account permanently
- Report the matter to the police where we believe a crime has been committed
We aim to review reports within 5 working days. Serious matters — anything suggesting a risk to someone's safety — are prioritised.
If we take action against you
We'll tell you what we've done and why, unless doing so would be unlawful or would compromise an investigation. If you think we've got it wrong, reply to that message and we'll look again. Email hello@bnliu.xyz if you want to complain about how we've handled anything.
Verification
A verification mark means we've checked that the person controls the linked accounts on their profile. It isn't an endorsement, a quality judgement, or a guarantee about anyone's conduct. Not being verified doesn't imply anything is wrong.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time under Settings. It removes your profile, listings, follows and messages permanently and immediately.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we're legally required to.
What we don't promise
bnliu is provided as-is and free of charge. We don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features.
We don't verify what people say about themselves beyond the checking described above, and we're not party to any arrangement you make with someone you meet here. Use the same judgement you'd use meeting anyone through a mutual contact.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, opportunity or data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the change is significant we'll notify account holders by email and update the date at the top.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
